Sunday was an amazing day! We traveled to the region of Eifel and saw two castles! One castle was a medieval one from 1093 B.C. that took over 500 years to build! The other castle we had to take a long hike uphill in the snow. It was surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Germanic mountain tops and valleys. We only saw remains of the second castle as most of it had been ransacked and destroyed during a war 400 years ago. It's dinner time so I have to run, but I will fill you all in later!
